Looking for a beautiful and reliable riding companion to enjoy long trail rides and leisurely outdoor adventures? Meet Platinum Gold ("Goldie"), a 2018, 16h Thoroughbred mare with a temperament and heart of gold that lives up to her name.

While Goldie's owner had aspirations to event her and invested 6-months of intense training into her before she came up lame. X-rays revealed an old slab fracture in her left knee, which led her owner to realize she'd be better suited in a less strenuous role on the flat. This mare goes well under saddle and truly shines on the trail, both alone and with a group. She crosses water, bridges and really doesn't bat an eye at much. While her demeanor is steady, she can still have young horse tendencies. So her owner feels she'd be best suited for an intermediate or above rider wanting to hit some easy trails a few times per week.

Goldie is overall an easy mare to manage. She lives out 24/7, is currently barefoot, and gets along with both mares and geldings. She is good for trims, but does require some bribing with treats to stand for shoes. Goldie is current being maintained on a yearly injection of Athramid, which is keeping her comfortable at her current workload. Goldie is UTD on everything and ready to move on to her new home.
