Ella Okie is a gorgeous chestnut mare with a dainty star on her forehead! She was responsibly retired from racing after simply being too slow for the track, and now she’s ready to find her perfect match for a second career. When she arrived at Horse and Hound Rescue - it was extremely windy, but she handled it like a champ and was perfect for intake photos and grooming (especially having raced just two days before). Ella seems to have a calm and level headed temperament and sweet personality. We will be giving her some downtime and evaluate her more once she has been given a chance to settle in. We are looking forward to getting to know this gorgeous girl and seeing her success!
