Gypsy (La Rusia)

Gypsy (La Rusia) is a 7-year old OTTB who raced 47 times mostly at Gulstream Park in Florida earning more than $134k. She's a stunning 17h Chestnut mare with the most expressive eyes.  She is level headed, calm, patient and gets along with everyone at the barn.  Impeccable ground manners and very calm in the stall. Doesn't budge putting on/taking off blankets.  Stands perfectly still for farrier.  She is just a dream to handle.

Gypsy is turning out to be such a pleasant surprise despise her size.  Being a large mare at 17h we thought she would be more pushy or demanding.  She's eager to please and is very repsectul and patient.  She's settled into her routine and is now enjoying pasture time with a gelding (who just adores her).  She stands quiet for the farrier/vet and in the cross-ties and loves to venture out to the other areas of the barn taking it all in like the regal Queen she is.  Her stable mates all enjoy her and she's been a quick learner in our retraining program.

Gypsy is barefoot and doing really well with our farrier.  With continued trimmings and monitoring her angles she should be able to remain barefoot.  Currently she moves fluidly.  She would make a great low level hunter/jumper and has the mind and ability to go far as a dressage mount.
