Flicka is a pint-sized powerhouse with a personality that far exceeds her tiny frame. Equal parts adorable and determined, this mini mare knows exactly what she wants—and isn’t shy about expressing it. Since arriving, she has been making steady progress in learning to trust people, taking each new experience in stride (on her own terms, of course).

She has a natural talent for obstacles, treating every training session like her own personal challenge course. Jumping? She’s got it covered. Seesaw bridge? No problem. Tarps and pool noodles? She walks through them like a champion. She has also mastered calmly walking through narrow gates with a handler—because when Flicka decides she wants to cooperate, she does it with style.

Currently, she’s working on becoming more comfortable with touches, particularly on her face and back. She appreciates patience and a good sense of humor from her humans, as she firmly believes in testing their commitment to earning her trust. This little lady has a big personality, and while she’s making fantastic progress, she’ll thrive with someone who understands that her sass is just part of her charm.

Flicka is looking for an experienced handler who enjoys a challenge and can appreciate a horse with opinions. She’s well on her way to becoming a wonderful little partner, and with the right person, she’ll continue to blossom into the confident, quirky mini she was born to be.
