Adoption Overview $1,000

BOURBON

BOURBON is available for adoption. She recently participated in a Fun Show and really excelled in rail classes, trail classes, in-hand classes and everything else that was asked of her. Bourbon also participated in a clinic in October with her former trainer Mike Hurst.

The following is from Bourbon's current foster Sarah.

"Bourbon is seriously a trail horse deluxe. We went all over the mountain today and she powered through it all. Strong intermediate or advanced rider only. She will take over and become the boss fast if you're not a strong leader and know when to correct, when to wait and when to push. She will question your leadership, but has never done anything silly with me like a buck or a rear. Its all bluff, really, but you need to be strong enough to deal with it or she will take over without solid leadership. But for the right rider, she is so fun! Sure footed, doesn't quit, sound, stout and pretty. Easy keeper, loads, ties, good for the farrier, respects electric fence. She is boss mare of the herd, especially at feed time."

She's been ridden on trails and in arena. She's great at groundwork.

If you are a confident horseman or horsewoman and if you love the strong mare personality type, Bourbon could be the horse of your dreams.

She's not for beginners. She's not a hang out in the pasture and eat cookies and ride once every three months kind of horse. BUT if you are a serious horseperson, you are going to absolutely LOVE her.

If you would like to talk to Bourbon's long time foster mom to learn more about this amazing horse, please submit your Adoption Inquiry today. You will be glad you did!
