Adoption Overview $350

Mist

This pretty lady's name is Mist! With her well-defined dished face, high set tail, and bundles of energy, Mist is a nice representive of the Arabian breed! She came to Longmeadow in June of 2021 and was several hundred pounds underweight. In addition to malnutrition, Mist was very fearful of human interaction. Our groundwork team has spent lots of time improving Mist's groundwork skills, and throughought her time here, Mist has turned into quite the sweetheart! After you gain her trust, Mist is willing to try whatever you ask of her. She requires an experienced handler to further her training and help her gain the confidence she needs. Mist will also need someone willing to help her learn to stand nicely for the farrier as she is very nervous when getting her hooves trimmed.

Although we believe Mist would do best as a pasture pet, spending her days snacking and frolicking with other horses, it is possible for Mist to begin training under saddle. She has not been started at the Ranch, and will require a few more months of groundwork and topline strengthening exercises before being considered ready to start. If her adopter would like to start Mist under saddle, she will require professional training.

Carrying Weight: 160lbs (including tack and rider)
