ABBY is one of the sweetest mares that you will ever meet. She was ridden in her early years and even spent some time in the show ring. But for the past several years before coming to the rescue she was a pasture buddy. She's pretty comfortable with that job. She has a little arthritis, so our vet agrees that Abby's preferred career as a companion horse is what she's best qualified for!
Abby is very easy to handle, respectful of people and an absolute joy to be around. She has tiny ears that melt your heart when she greets you and tries to talk you into giving her some extra treats.
An adopter should be willing to provide Abby with senior feed and an Equioxx or Firocoxib tablet daily to manage her arthritis.
Abby will be placed as a companion horse only and won't be considered for a home where she would be ridden. If you enjoy just spending time with horses or if you have a horse that needs a buddy Abby is your gal! Before coming to us she shared a pasture with a younger gelding for many years.
