Adoption Overview $1,000

Frank (Jockey Club: Handsome Todd)

"Frank" is a 2018 Jockey Club gelding registered as Handsome Todd. Frank was part of the "Franklin 13" rescue of horses who were locked in muddy small pens starving in December 2024. Frank himself was one of the thinnest horses from the case, with his spine and ribs all protruding at the time. He has rehabilitated very well and is feeling much better since December. He was dewormed, fed, vaccinated, castrated and has a current Coggins now as well.

Frank appears sound at all gaits and has been sent for training with Metcalfe Equine LLC in Wilmore, KY to increase his adoptability and get him back into the swing of riding. He came to us only "track broke" from racing and is currently being restarted under saddle to learn to have a second career after racing. Please check back as we learn more about what sort of adopter would best suit sweet Frank and to which disciplines he seems best suited.
