Adoption Overview $950

Uroncillo

3 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in FL
Commissioner (A. P. Indy) out of Queen Brunette by Uncle Mo
Eligible for the Retired Racehorse Project's
THOROUGHBRED MAKEOVER COMPETITION!

16 hands. He last raced on 8/25/23 and retired with a left knee slab fracture, nondisplaced. He is sound.

Ronnie is now back to regular work. He is sound at all gaits and has a lovely way of going. He is playful while out and enjoys being with his buddies, currently he is turned out alone. He does pick on insecure, smaller geldings and likes to be the boss.

Ronnie doesn’t seem to mind windy days and was very relaxed under saddle as the wind blew around him. Ronnie is a horse that will appreciate working several days a week. He is very intelligent and very willing to work hard. He is best suited for confident intermediate and up riders. He is very talented and has a ton of potential. He is a barn favorite to ride and has a big personality. If you like a challenge, this is the horse for you! He is a very smart horse who is willing to do what is asked.

He is good for bathing and grooming and is respectful of his handlers. He seems to be kind and well mannered. He is quiet in his stall. He walks quietly around the farm and doesn’t cause any issues. He can be a bit playfully nippy. He is not mean at all.

Ronnie will make a great partner for someone who likes to hop over low poles but he should not jump long term. He will also make a great ranch horse, endurance horse, etc., where he can use his mind as well as his body.

He was gelded on 9/21/23.

He will be suitable for flat work or smaller jumps.
