Trumpets Blare (Miles)

6 year old thoroughbred gelding bred in Kentucky
Pioneerof The Nile (Empire Maker) out of Sound the Trumpets by Bernardini

15.3 hands. Miles last raced in 2022. He was too slow to be a racehorse and has not had any injuries.

Miles is sound and has been restarted on the flat and in low level jumping. He has been in training 5-6 days/week, jumping once weekly. He has schooled cross country and he placed in the top 5 at a starter level event. He seems to enjoy a job and jumping but will need a confident rider to help bring him along.

On his first ride with us, Miles connected beautifully with his rider; stretching and flexing, with good self carriage and steady contact with the bit. He is ready to get to work and return to showing this spring! He hacked alone on the buckle around our farm and is a straightforward and uncomplicated ride.

Miles has settled in well to our farm and is a pleasure to work with and have in the barn. He behaves very well for his handlers, vet and farrier and gets along well with his pasture mates. He is equally happy in his stall and in the field – he currently enjoys 16 hours of afternoon and nighttime turnout.

Miles will be suitable for any discipline – his training is in eventing.
