Meet Puck! This pint sized cutie is looking for a loving home to be someone’s companion. Since his arrival at the MSPCA, Puck has quickly become a staff favorite. He’s happy to hit the trails and practice pole work with his staff entourage, with or without other equine companions! He does well leading on these adventures and he is very brave in exploring new things that may be worrisome to start.
Puck can sometimes be head shy and wary of handling, which we have seen present as moving away for haltering and shying away from touch. Puck has ongoing medical needs and will need a close relationship with a vet. He will need a patient adopter and veterinarian to help him become more comfortable with that kind of handling, as he can often get nervous during veterinary exams. Puck will do best with an adopter who is committed to helping Puck practice calm behaviors for vet care.
Puck was gelded in March 2025 and may still exhibit some stud-like behaviors for a while. He has not been turned out in the same space with any other horses yet while in our care, but he has done very well living next to other horses and has been a calm companion for other equines so far!
