WHISKEY

WHISKEY is a cute and curious gelding who is happy to be your best buddy or to hang out with other horse friends. He is sound and healthy, he just needs some education. Up until coming to our rescue he was loved and cared for, he just was never asked to do much besides hang out and be a pal to another horse. 

Whiskey is currently in training at Reining Warriors, an equine assisted therapy program in West Virginia. There he'll be working with Veterans and First Responders to learn how to be his best self while helping them at the same time. 

We are hopeful that the team at Reining Warriors will be able to get Whiskey started undersaddle soon. We don't think they'll have much trouble because he seems to be a smart and willing guy. 

He could be adoptable now to someone with the knowledge and resources to provide additional training. 

We have done some groundwork with Whiskey and he seems to enjoy and understand common groundwork exercises. 

He does have a tendency to be buddy sour/clingy to other horses. In turnout situations he is the lowest ranking guy in the herd. He is currently getting along great with some other passive horses.
